On May 4th, 2013, The Girl Scouts of San Diego hosted the 12th Annual Operation Thin Mint® Sendoff Celebration aboard the USS Midway Museum to celebrate sending 180,968 boxes of donated Girl Scout cookies to deployed U.S. military troops.
Corporate Helicopters joined in on the fun by flying two Astars full of the top cookie sellers of the year onto the Midway. They were greeted by 2,600 local Girl Scouts, friends, family and had the opportunity to personally thank military troops for their service to the U.S. and to write messages of appreciation and support to accompany the cookies.
