On Sunday, January 17th, Corporate Helicopters provided helicopter support for the 2016 Todos Santos Challenge, a surf competition held in 30-40 foot waves.
Todos Santos is a small island 9 miles off the coast of Ensenada, known for a big wave break called “Killers”.
Recently Corporate Helicopters was selected to fly some demo flights for the new Shotover B1 camera, mounted on one of our R44s.
Ivor demonstrated the compact design and light weight by doing a few curls.

Ivor Shier, SAG Pilot and President of Corporate Helicopters was a part of the crew for the sequel to “Maze Runner”, “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials”, which begins after having escaped the Maze, the Gladers now face a new set of challenges on the open roads of a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. The movie was a big success at the box office this year and forecasted to gross over $200 million in Worldwide sales. Ivor was Aerial Coordinator and Camera Helicopter Pilot for the film. He managed details, secured the right helicopters for the job and was able to provide the details in the helicopter action behinds the scenes.
Corporate Helicopters flew an Eurocopter AS350 B2 Astar, on the Leight Star Yacht in San Diego Bay this summer for a commercial shoot promoting Grupo Aries. SAG Pilot, Ivor Shier flew with actors and crew in the ‘story helicopter’ throughout the day while Corporate Helicopters’ Pilot, Peter Clark provided ground crew services on the yacht during landings. We captured awesome aerial footage of the Lexus RCF on one of the most iconic roads in the southwest, Palomar Mountain Road, which includes 20 death-defying turns along a 7 mile stretch!
