On December 16, Ivor Shier piloted a very special flight. He donated a helicopter charter for Irish Santa to Alice Birney Elementary School for their Irish You A Merry Christmas 2017 community celebration.
Irish Santa and his elves certainly made a dramatic entrance… You can imagine the excitement among the kids as the helicopter circled and landed at the school.
Children from around San Diego that were most deserving of some festive cheer were treated to a fantastic day of Christmas fun. Irish sports, dance, music, beauty treatments, magic, Christmas dinner, and of course – the arrival of Irish Santa to provide toys, and sporting and educational equipment.
The event was hosted by Irish Outreach San Diego, a non-profit organization that serves the Irish community in San Diego and throughout Southern California.
