My experience from initial enrollment to completion of my training, Corporate Helicopters has been nothing short of absolute excellence. The atmosphere and environment provided by the staff and CFI’s consistently maintained the utmost level of professionalism, always keeping safety a top priority. Lessons were concise and well integrated into the current publications for Helicopter/Rotorcraft Aviation. Corporate Helicopters provided me with a knowledge base and pilot skillset that when carried into my FAA Check Ride, my FAA Examiner (Robinson Helicopters Chief Test Pilot!) was inclined to comment that my Oral Exam was excellent, that I was in fact very well prepared, further stating that my Practical Test was of Commercial Pilot quality. He then complemented my CFI Bryan Pederson as well as Corporate Helicopters for producing an excellent addition to the General Aviation community. Bryan accompanied me to the Check Ride and while initially nervous of my CFI being present it was a confidence building experience, many of which Bryan has provided throughout my training. I highly recommend Corporate Helicopters for anyone seeking Flight Instruction.

Corporate Helicopters of San Diego made my wedding proposal happen! When they mentioned that they do direct flights to the Thornton Winery I knew that it would be perfect for what I was looking for. Everyone at CHSD made our experience special and memorable. I can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond to take care of all our requests. The flight was amazing and something we will never forget and plan to do many more times!

My boyfriend surprised me and took me on the “Surf and Turf” tour for Valentine’s Day. It was incredible!

Our favorite parts were seeing the San Diego Wild Animal Park from the air, seeing a whale in La Jolla, flying by downtown, and seeing Coronado.

Our pilot / tour guide was Bryan, and he couldn’t have been nicer. He was more than happy to loop around and see a couple nice houses that we liked. I really recommend it!

In June 2012, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Air Operations Bureau researched options and vendors for the 144-month service on two of their three EC-120s.  After thorough analysis, and recommendations from other law enforcement agencies and Eurocopter customers, Supervising Mechanic, John Austin and Commander/Pilot, Lt. Tim Cotter, selected Corporate Helicopters in San Diego.  John was impressed with the open lines of communication and attention to detail as the first of two projects began.  John recalls, “From the beginning, Director of Maintenance Jon McClure, Chief Inspector Mike Duncan, and Lead Mechanic Calvin Penfound, were completely receptive and actually encouraged my participation in the project.  After my first visit, I was impressed with the organization of their facility, their attention to detail, and obvious emphasis on safety.  Their commitment to providing complete overhaul service in a timely manner, coupled with exceptional customer service surpassed our expectations.”

If you are ever in San Diego, you have to visit Corporate Helicopters and take a tour.  Our pilot was great and I was so comfortable. It was one of the highlights of my trip!

I was smiling for the entire flight, so much so that my face hurt… I was hooked immediately. I set out to earn my helicopter rating.

I want to send my sincerest thanks and gratitude to Ivor Shier, Garner Sheperd, and the Corporate Helicopters team. Their dedication and efforts, as well as their encouragement, helped me to fulfill my dream of flying helicopters!
