Corporate Helicopters’ crew landed helicopter N547SA on the deck of the USS Midway so Tom Cruise could make his grand entrance to the event launching the Top Gun: Maverick Global Premiere on May 4^th, 2022.

After two years of being stalled by the pandemic, and months of coordination with the production company and the US Navy, the event that had been kept secret for so long culminated with flying Tom Cruise into North Island to meet with the US Navy and then flying onto the deck of the USS Midway to greet his crew, fans, and VIP’s before heading over to the Global Premier.

It was exciting to be a part of the release of this film, especially since San Diego is rich with US Navy history and both the original Top Gun (1986) and Top Gun: Maverick showcase our amazing city.

Six of our team members were invited to attend the premiere. All had a great time watching the movie, and would highly recommend it when it opens in theaters on May 27^th.
