The Scorch Trials – Helicopter Action Behind the Scenes
Ivor Shier, SAG Pilot and President of Corporate Helicopters was a part of the crew for the sequel to “Maze Runner”, “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials”, which begins after having escaped the Maze, the Gladers now face a new set of challenges on the open roads of a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. The movie was a big success at the box office this year and forecasted to gross over $200 million in Worldwide sales. Ivor was Aerial Coordinator and Camera Helicopter Pilot for the film. He managed details, secured the right helicopters for the job and was able to provide the details in the helicopter action behinds the scenes.

Commercial Shoot on San Diego Bay
Corporate Helicopters flew an Eurocopter AS350 B2 Astar, on the Leight Star Yacht in San Diego Bay this summer for a commercial shoot promoting Grupo Aries. SAG Pilot, Ivor Shier flew with actors and crew in the ‘story helicopter’ throughout the day while Corporate Helicopters’ Pilot, Peter Clark provided ground crew services on the yacht during landings. Aerial Filming of Shut up and Drive: San Diego
Corporate Helicopters worked with our friends at Robert Dalrymple Productions to shoot an episode of ‘Shut up and Drive: San Diego’. We captured awesome aerial footage of the Lexus RCF on one of the most iconic roads in the southwest, Palomar Mountain Road, which includes 20 death-defying turns along a 7 mile stretch!
Helicopter Shipment to China
A few months back, the 1987 Agusta 109A MKII Plus was sold to a client in China. Our maintenance department along with Sales Director Daren Humphries arranged for the helicopter shipment to China.
As you can see, the helicopter was easily put in a crate and sent to the new owner.
International Students begin Helicopter Flight Training in San Diego
The end of this week marked our new International Students 1st week of flight training at Corporate Helicopters! We are thrilled to start training 4 eager students from China. They begin their helicopter flight training journey with Flight Instructor, Jesse Bandelin who is teaching the ground school portion of their training.

SCORE Baja 2015 Medical Helicopter Rescue
Corporate Helicopters provided Medical Helicopter Service for The 47th Annual Bud Light SCORE Baja 500 June 4-7, 2015. The northern course provided a challenge for one motorcyclist, who crashed during the race. His injuries required immediate medical attention.

Santa, along with with his little helpers, took a break from his sleigh this Christmas arrived in our Astar helicopter at the Otay border. While he was there, Santa greeted children and passed out candy with the California Highway Patrol.
Helicopter External Load Operation – Scripps Institution of Oceanography
The Corporate Helicopters’ team delivered multiple external loads of research equipment by helicopter to the Coronado Islands in Mexico this week for the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. This helicopter external load operation was lead by Chief Pilot, Gary Roesink who flew the mission making 5 trips from Border State Park to the Islands, which are 10 miles off shore.
National Test Pilots in San Diego
The National Test Pilot School (NTPS) is the premier total flight test education and training organization in the world. Once a year, a group of pilots from the NTPS train at Corporate Helicopters for a few days. This year, we were excited to have pilots and engineers from South Korea, Israel, Australia, Sweden and Canada.

Wave Goodbye to MS – 2nd Annual Paddle for the Cure
On Saturday, October 11, 2014, Corporate Helicopters will be sponsoring the 2nd Annual “Wave Goodbye to MS – Paddle for the Cure”. This is a fundraising event for the National MS Society created by lifelong friends, Steve Bettis and Mitch Murphy. The goal of the event is to raise the awareness of the need for a more directed and intense research to find a cure.
